Greetings all members of the East Road Travelers!

The leadership has been discussing some very important topics and concerns that have been brought up by many of you. We have been brainstorming and contemplating our recruitment techniques, in addition to our leadership hierarchy.

There are two major announcements that i will make now:

Firstly
It is my pleasure to inform all of you that we are launching a renewed recruiting endeavor. This will involve the leadership primarily, however, the members will be asked to play a part in helping our kin grow. It has been a good while since we have concentrated a great deal on bringing new members into the kin. We think it's time to make a concerted effort for the future benefit of all its members. Now, this leads us to my next announcement.

Secondly
It has become a unanimous decision amongst the leadership to increase our ranks. We have decided to promote two of the members to officership. These two members have shown a undeniable devotion and a true care for the rest of the members, and the kinship as a whole. Please join me in welcoming Silwein and Isowen to their newly appointed positions as officers of the ERT! IT is wonderful to have you two on board.

With the inclusion of two new officers, we will be ready to bolster our recruitment efforts. Also, with this addition to the leadership, some responsibilities will be exchanged or created. We will keep you informed on any changes and update you with progress.

Finally, we have decided that some key aspects of how the leadership interacts with and informs the community (you guys) need to be enhanced. We will be working, along with our new officers to strengthen the community experience and hopefully provide a more inviting environment for new recruits. We are all bubbling with new ideas, and we'd like to make sure we have your support. Feel free to post in this thread about any questions or suggestions you may have to make this revitalization even better.

We are looking forward to a bright future for the ERT, let's go out and make it one!

I am so very happy for the ERT, Silwein, Isowen and the Leadership of our wonderful Kin. I think this was a fantastic move. Silwein & Isowen have spent tons of time and energy to help improve our kinship through various ways. A renewed recruitment effort has been a long time coming and I'm excited at it's prospect. Count me in to support the efforts made and just let me know what you need.
Congrats Silwein. Congrats Isowen.

no one ever tips their hats to me... and I am sure the fact that i have burned the last 6 hats i have seen with a makeshift flamethrower has nothing to do with that.

i don't know why but the term revitiliations still seems iffy to me... of course the fact that it brings up omages of monty python and the holy grail where some guys are trying to get rid of an aged man saying he is dead while is hanging over tbeir shoulder saying "i'm not dead yet!"

and for political reasons so no one can get offended by me... that was a joke. i mean it does bring up those images but heah. jut a joke. especially since the actual first thing that comes to mind is "clear! bzzzzzt

Oh hi Arrinairus! Are you a new member to the ERT? Well let me congratulate you on your decision to join our kinship. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask any of our officers. We have some new ones that would be happy to help you out with various aspects of the game. All the officers are extremely helpful. There was this ONE officer...... I haven't seen him in so long I dare to say I struggle to recall his name right now, but he was an awsome officer too. He really knew the game in great detail. If you choose to mirror yourself like he was I have absolutely NO doubt what-so-ever that I will tip my hat to you as well. He was always my go-to guy and I really miss him. 8)

Might I just say LOL to the above statement? Oh what the heck...LOL!

In all seriousness we do miss you Arrin, but we know that you're very busy right now.

the decision was brought to fruition by the effort of not only myself, but arrin and eles aswell. Both of them have proven to be discerning and able companions.

Here's a little something you can do to help out our recruitment effort. Go to this thread on the main LOTRO forums: http://forums.lotro.com/showthread.php?t=252926

that is our main thread in the kinships section. feel free to post there with a positive comment about our kin, and encouragement to check us out. Thanks!

Can't say the same for you. Your demise will be slow, painful, and full of cloud making... IT IS A PERFECTLY VALID FORM OF TORTURE!

Just so everyone is aware, this process is still an on-going, long term endevor.

Let's take a look back over the months since this thread was created shall we?

two new officers were enlisted (sil and iso), both of whom have proven to be dependable and active in their responsabilites. If you haven't yet, please give these two a warm thank you for what they do behinde the scenes.

As for recruitment, over the last 3 months we've had 10 applications and 7 acceptances. This is definitely a positive indication that we are slowly but steadily growing.

For the not so distant future:

As you may have read in the leadership descisions thread, we will be updating the ERT forums application to be more relevant. In addtion, all text that partains to information on the kinship (on our site and on the main lotro forums) is due for a fairly major overhaul. Most of this work will be done by myself and one or two of the officers. I welcome anyone who has suggestions to please PM me, i am always ready to listen to your ideas :).

Final note: Things are moving ahead. For those of you who would like to help the kin in a bigger way, be sure to keep an eye out for unkinned players (yes there are quite a few), and feel free to let people know about us by giving out our website as a reference.

Happy March :)
